I made it out to Pisgah again today to work on clearing some of the trails. From what I have seen above 3750' there is total devastation. Every tree is broken.
Clearing it is a big job and I'm doing little more than just making a small dent. I get what I can and leave anything that takes more than a minute to cut or is on the ground.
There are huge piles of broken limbs and underneath them there is still snow.
Best way through this is just to cut your way.
The dog had fun but couldn't figure out why I was going so slow.
I'm feeling beat up and run down but tomorrow I plan on more Pisgah fun. I hope to spend more time riding than clearing the trail corridors!
