After spending a long weekend watching Terri run the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, DC and getting sick in the process I finally managed to get back in the woods today. A text message from Jonathon and a few hours later me and my mangy mutt were at Jones Gap for a little overlook action.
As we were getting ready to head out a ranger stopped us and told us we only had 30 minutes. A little smooth talking and some gentle reassurance and we were good to go. Duma made sure to make his opinion of the governor known before we headed out. A shortcut or two and too much chatting and how many times have we been here?
When the dogs start wrestling on top of a cliff you know it is time to go.
